Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use CountryStay. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

Description of Service

CountryStay provides:

• Tracking of days spent in each country, either automatically using your device location or through trips you enter manually
• Country-of-residence tracking against thresholds such as 183 days, over calendar years or rolling periods
• Visa and stay limit tracking, such as the Schengen 90/180 rule and per-visit limits
• Trip planning that projects your future day counts against your limits
• Journey timeline, calendar, and globe route views of your travel history
• Records for passports, visas, and permits
• PDF reports, CSV import and export, change history, and backup & restore

Subscriptions & Billing

• Subscriptions are offered on a weekly ($4.99/week) or yearly ($49.99/year) basis, as selected at checkout
• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at the time of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period, at the same price unless otherwise communicated in advance
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings
• No refund will be issued for the unused portion of a billing period if you cancel mid-cycle, except as required by applicable law or App Store policy
• Prices are subject to change; we will provide notice of any price changes before they take effect for existing subscribers, in accordance with App Store requirements

Managing Your Subscription

Subscription purchases are managed directly through the Apple App Store. To cancel, turn off auto-renewal, or request a refund, please use your device's subscription settings or contact Apple support directly, as we do not have the ability to process payments or refunds on Apple's platform.

User Content

"User Content" includes trips, stays, plans, notes, passport/visa/permit records, imported CSV files, and any other information you provide. By submitting User Content, you:

• Confirm that the information you enter is your own and that you have the right to use it
• Grant us a limited license to process your User Content solely to provide and improve the Service to you
• Retain ownership of your User Content; we do not claim ownership over your travel data
• Are responsible for checking that your trips, dates, and records are complete and correct

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose, including to misrepresent your presence or residency to any authority
• Track another person's location or travel without their knowledge and consent
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the App's source code
• Use automated means to access or scrape the Service
• Upload content that is unlawful or infringes on the rights of others

Not Legal, Tax, or Immigration Advice

Intellectual Property

The Application, including its design, features, graphics, and content (excluding your User Content), is owned by the CountryStay Team and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Map imagery is provided by Apple and is subject to Apple's terms. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the Application without our prior written consent.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Application at our discretion, including for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Application and delete your data at any time. Termination does not entitle you to a refund for any unused subscription period, except as required by law or platform policy. We recommend exporting your records before deleting the App.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Application is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that day counts, limit calculations, location detection, or reports will be accurate, complete, error-free, or uninterrupted.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the CountryStay Team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, use, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Application — including any tax liability, penalties, visa overstays, fines, denied entry, or immigration consequences resulting from reliance on the App's day counts, calculations, or reports.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date, and where required, we will notify you through the app. Continued use of the Application after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the CountryStay Team operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable consumer protection laws provide otherwise.
