Every day in your history is assigned to the country (or countries) you were in. Travel days where you were in two countries — like a flight from Portugal to the UK — show both flags in the Calendar and count toward both, which is how many residency and visa rules treat them.
When you turn on auto-tracking and allow location access, CountryStay uses your device location to detect which country you're in and records your days automatically. If it's off, tap "Change" on the Home card or the + button to add or update your stays manually.
Auto-tracking relies on your phone's location being available, so days can be missed if your phone was off or location was disabled. Go to History, tap the trip, and edit its dates. Every edit is saved in Settings → Change history.
Go to Settings → Limits & goals and choose your country. You can pick the target (e.g. reach at least 183 days, or stay under it) and the period — calendar year or a rolling window. Your progress then appears on the Home tab.
CountryStay adds up all days spent in Schengen countries within any rolling 180-day window and compares them against the 90-day allowance. You can add it from Limits & goals on the Home tab.
Add upcoming trips in the Plans tab, plus your expected departure from where you are now. CountryStay projects your day counts forward and tells you whether each limit still fits — including your highest count and the date it happens. When a trip happens, confirm it to add it to your history.
